Waldsteinia within Geum s.l. (Rosaceae): Main Aspects of Phylogeny and Speciation History

چکیده

Waldsteinia is a small plant genus inhabiting the temperate regions of Northern Hemisphere. According to latest revisions, included in Geum. We have obtained phylogenetic reconstruction based on nuclear (ITS) and plastid (trnL-trnF) DNA understand structure its relationships with other taxa Geum s.l. Phylogenetic analysis joint ITS + trnL-trnF dataset demonstrated monophyly. The species were better explained by their geographical distribution than morphology. Hence, Euro-Siberian, Northeast Asian, North American phylogeographic groups distinguished, East Asia having been suggested as place origin. Considering incongruence W. geoides (a type species) position trees, together discrepancy between morphology location tree, hybrid origin was for this species. Despite fact that maximowicziana still not fully resolved, we support point view claims it should be separated from ternata aggregate (traditionally including trifolia, s.str., maximowicziana) considered separate doniana, fragarioides, lobata belong single maternal lineage, but observed genetic differences are too serve convincing argument segregation, so remain unresolved.

Phylogenetic Relationships of Geum (Rosaceae) and Relatives Inferred from the nrITS and trnL-trnF Regions

This is a molecular phylogenetic study of the group formerly known as Dryadeae, based on DNA sequences from the internal transcribed spacers, ITS, of nuclear ribosomal DNA and the trnL intron and the trnL-trnF intergenic spacer of the chloroplast. A total of 1.9 kb, for 26 ingroup species, were analyzed using parsimony and model-based Bayesian inference. Some clades are well supported by both d...

Novel microsatellite markers for the high-alpine Geum reptans (Rosaceae)1

UNLABELLED PREMISE OF THE STUDY Geum reptans reproduces by outcrossing or by the formation of stolons. Sexual and clonal reproduction are not exclusive and occur mostly simultaneously. We developed novel microsatellite primers for this species, which will be used in a study about local adaptation, phenotypic plasticity, and random molecular divergence of alpine plants. • METHODS AND RESULT...

A mitogenomic phylogeny and genetic history of Amphioctopus fangsiao (d’Orbigny 1839-1841) from China

Phylogeny and genetic diversity of Amphioctopus fangsiao were assessed by sequence analysis of complete mitochondrial genomes, sequenced from 15 individuals of nine populations. The whole mtDNA genomes size were ranging from 15977 to 15990 bp. Data revealed 1642 polymorphic sites and 1023 parsimony informative sites.  The phylogenetic analysis based on neighbor joining tree disclosed two clades...

heterogeneity within the orientalist discourse: representation of the orient in womens travelogues and mens paintings

from 1950s onward, new theories and critical approaches burgeoned across humanities. these theories were context-oriented; as a result, the analysis of discursive practices gained significance. thus, social, political, historical and cultural discourses that have been hitherto marginalized and considered inferior to literary texts, were introduced as important texts to be analyzed by critics. o...
